Shamblott family dentistry offers free dental services and Bloodmobile donation through the Dentistry from the Heart program on February 25, 2011.
MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Minnesota Dentistry from the Heart – Once again, Dr. Scott Shamblott of Shamblott Family Dentistry will be offering free dental care at his office in Hopkins, MN, as part of the Dentistry from the Heart movement.
This will be Dr. Shamblott’s fifth annual event performing free fillings and extractions on a first come, first serve basis. The doors open at 7am on Friday, February 25th, and stay open throughout the day.
To deal with a high anticipated demand, Dr. Shamblott has recruited other dentists to join him in giving back to the community. “We’ve seen the demand grow every year since we started this back in 2007,” said Dr. Shamblott. “With the continued high unemployment and the number of families without health insurance, we expect to have a record turnout.”
Dentistry from the Heart was begun in 2001 by a dentist in Tampa Bay, Florida, in an attempt to help those in the community who were less fortunate. The movement has steadily grown since then and in 2011, more than 200 practices across the United States and Canada are expected to participate.
In addition to free dental care, a Bloodmobile will be at Dr. Shamblott’s office from 1:30pm to 4:30pm on the same day. Those who wish to participate in some way in this charitable post-Valentine’s Day event, are encouraged to come and give blood.
